12 pubs from the 1990s and 2000s everyone in Hounslow, Hillingdon and Ealing will remember which sadly don't exist any more

West Londoners who enjoy a pint usually have a pub in mind when they’re asked to consider their favourite local haunt. For many, this has changed over the years as pubs struggle to stay open amid rising bills and beer taxes. Those who have lived in the boroughs of Ealing, Hounslow, and Hillingdon, may have fond memories of the boozers that used to serve punters during the 1990s up through the 2000s.

For those old enough to remember, MyLondon has taken a look back at the history books and put together a list of 12 pubs which are still looked back on fondly by drinkers. The local ale houses have since closed their doors for the last time but memories made inside their four walls outlive them.

The history of each pub is different. Some have been turned into restaurants, while others are now home to banks, a Sainsbury’s, or even completely demolished. The pubs listed have sadly closed and if you spot your old favourite be sure to let us know in the comment. Also, let us know if we have missed any.

Spinning Wheel – Northfields

Three Pigeons – High Street

It used to be a popular local pub, and a pretty old one too with pictures of it dating back to 1904.

The Lord Coningsby – Coningsby Road

This pub closed quite a while a go, and was used as an off licence for a while afterwards so at least you could still buy alcohol.
