£60.00

Score: 94/100

For those that think the mini sandwiches are the best bit of any afternoon tea, Mother Supper’s fresh and flavoursome selection will certainly appeal.

£42.00

Score: 93/100

Containing everything you’ll need for an impressive afternoon tea for four, Gail’s has taken the best of its cafe experience and packaged it up ready for you to enjoy at home.

Our panel thought the sandwiches tasted super fresh, and the soft scones were some of the biggest they tried. Load them up with sweet strawberry jam or zesty lemon curd, before tucking into the gooey chocolate brownie fingers.

An afternoon tea delivery obviously wouldn’t be complete without the tea, and this loose leaf one is dark and rich with malty notes. The perfect choice for a special occasion.

11) Betty’s Tea & Scones Gift Selection

£22.00

Score: 83/100

A lovely choice for traditionalists, this pretty, giftable box contains moist fruit scones, strawberry jam and a classic tea loaf. You’ll also receive 80 tea bags, so you’ll have plenty left over long after the last crumb is hoovered up.

Although we would have loved this package to include clotted cream or butter, at this price, it’s not a deal-breaker. The scones were a real highlight, and we loved that these could be frozen too (although we wouldn’t blame you if you eat the lot in one sitting!).
