Bolstering sales for the rebirthed Chinese automaker in South Africa, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro retains a 1,5-litre turbo petrol engine that produces 108 kW and 210 N.m with power sent to the front wheels through a CVT gearbox with pre-programmed steps that simulate gear changes.
The Tiggo comprises an elegant exterior, consisting of a hexagonal grille with its three-dimensional diamond-shaped features, slim headlights that we’ve already seen on the Tiggo 8 Pro and deeply scalloped lower bumper with redesigned air intakes. As standard, the Tiggo comes with an edge-to-edge taillight, roof-mounted spoiler, dual faux exhaust surrounds, electrically adjustable and foldable side mirrors with integrated LED indicators

With the entry-level Chery Tiggo 7 Pro Distinction priced at R409 900 and the range-topping Tiggo 7 Pro Executive model priced at R444 900, they are almost a steal considering all the intuitive tech they have to offer. Chinese brands will continue to do well in South Africa because of these affordable prices, we have seen a great surge in the market with the Haval and looking into the future the Chery is certainly on the same track.
