Biltong flatbread on the braai: Great for your weekend feast
There is always a reason for a braai for South Africans. We also enjoy trying all kinds of new things and combining interesting flavours and textures. We love making pot bread on the braai, but have you tried making flat bread? Our biltong flatbread recipe combines the perfect snack known as biltong with the flatbreadd that’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It’s your choice to make it for the rugby snacks or as a braai side with your friends.
Biltong flatbread hints
Biltong is, of course, the best cured meat in the world and South Africa’s is the leader in making it. The salty flavours go well with the light and crispy flat bread. You can even baste the breads with some garlic butter, but be aware that you don’t burn the garlic. The cooking time is very fast so you can still cook them after the meat is off of the braai. Sprinkle them with some parsley and serve warm or cooled-down.
Are you looking for a simple braai snack or side this weekend? Try our biltong flatbread for the braai which is crispy, soft and stuffed with biltong!
