BMW New Zealand is preparing to hold a family-friendly festival in Auckland to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the BMW M high-performance division.

The 50 Years of M Festival at Lilyworld, Mt Smart Stadium, will be open to the public and run from 10am to 8pm on Saturday, November 19.

Among the line-up will be the new BMW M2, pictured, which made its world debut in October and will launch in New Zealand in the first half of 2023, and the fully electric i4 M50.

Some of the historic models set to be on show are the 1973 BMW 3.0 CSL “Batmobile” homologation special, the 2021 BMW M5 CS, and the the BMW M3 CSL of 2004.

Adam Shaver, BMW Group NZ managing director, says: “We are truly excited to celebrate 50 Years of BMW M division in New Zealand with a festival the whole family can enjoy, that showcases the brands past, present and future.
