Burger King Has Secretly Added A Brand-New Vegan Item To Its Menu

Back in January, Burger King became the first fast food chain restaurant to offer vegan nuggets. They are certified as 100% vegan from the Vegan Society, and have been created in collaboration with The Vegetarian Butcher; containing soy and plant proteins only. In March, they broke the internet once again by announcing their first ever meat-free restaurant.

Think it can’t get better than that? Think again. Because, in celebration of World Vegan Day (1 November), Burger King are adding limited-edition Dirty Vegan Nuggets to their menus nationwide. At last, all of our plant-based prayers have been answered.

For one week and one week only (1-6 November), fans can tuck into deliciously crispy, plant-based nuggets smothered in smoky BBQ sauce and topped with crispy onions. Honestly, we’re hungry just thinking about it.

But there’s a catch: you need to use a special code to get your hands on these limited-edition vegan nugs. It’s simple enough, though, just head to the Burger King app to find the special code if you’re ordering in-restaurant or via click-and-collect. If you fancy staying in on the sofa, then you’ll be pleased to know that the Dirty Vegan Nuggets will also be available for delivery exclusively via Deliveroo, too.

Missed out on your fix? Fear not, for we’ve got enough vegan fake-away recipes to satisfy every craving, like bang bang cauliflower, tofu katsu curry (Wagas, who?) and these genius pulled jackfruit burgers topped with spicy guac.
