How To Make Cheesy Broccoli Potato Casserole

This recipe goes well with a roasted turkey, ham or fresh fish. Whatever you’re serving as your main course for your holiday table, you’ll love making this casserole as a pairing. I promise that it’s an easy recipe and I love that you can make it ahead of time as well.

What To Serve With Your Broccoli Potato Casserole

I make this casserole yearly, alongside our roasted whole turkey for Thanksgiving. However, I’ve also made it for Easter alongside our Bourbon Glazed Ham. You can’t go wrong with whatever you’re pairing it with. Just keep in mind that it’s a heavier side dish with the amount of potatoes.

How To Make Broccoli Potato Casserole Ahead Of Time

To prepare your casserole ahead of time, you can start 1-2 days beforehand. You’ll cook the cheese sauce over the stovetop, add the potatoes and create your layers. Do not add the breadcrumbs. Place the three layers in the refrigerator. When you’re ready to bake it, just add your breadcrumb topping and place it in the oven. You’ll want to serve the bake fresh out of the oven, when it’s hot.
