food, costa coffee cuts price of five menu items to £1 - but only for costa club members

Members of the Costa Coffee Club app can get some items for just £1

Costa Coffee customers can get their hands on some items for just £1 – but only if you are a member of its club.

The offer, which comes as many people are struggling during the cost of living crisis, means shoppers can save up to £1.25 on their order. Under the scheme, members of the chain’s free Costa Coffee Club app have the chance to snap up £1 ‘pocket savers’ – and there’s no minimum spend required.

Available on the offer are English breakfast tea, a small water bottle, M&S Kids’ Sandwich, toast and cornflake cake, all of which can be purchased for just £1 each when scanning the app at the till, reports the Manchester Evening News. The deal is available all day, every day until Thursday, October 27, and can save shoppers anywhere between 70p and £1.25.

The lower price is available to new and existing Costa Club members and can be found under the Rewards tab at the bottom of the app. Shoppers can use this offer at the till and scan the code when ordering to access the offer.

It can also be used in the Costa Coffee drive-thru, but can’t be redeemed at Costa Express self-service coffee machines or Proud to Serve Outlets, Click & Collect or via delivery. What’s more is that members will still earn ‘Coffee Club beans’ on their beverage purchase.

Members who earn eight beans can get their ninth drink free, and while usually one hot drink equals one bean, you get two for taking your own cup – so it’s well worth doing. Members can also get a free cake on their birthday, so be sure to fill in your date of birth to claim your freebie.
