Whole Wheat Waffles
You can whip up a batch of these easy waffles in the morning, or double or triple the recipe and freeze the extras. Later you can just pop them in the toaster for a quick breakfast.
This recipe makes about 8 waffles, depending on the size of your waffle-maker.) For a healthier option , you can replace half the oil with applesauce.
Easy Homemade Whole Wheat Waffles Recipe
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
2 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 C milk
3/4 C water
1/2 cup oil (canola or vegetable)
1 tsp vanilla
How to Make Whole Wheat Waffles:
Whisk all dry ingredients in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, beat eggs then lightly stir in milk, water, oil and vanilla. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir just until well combined. Cook according to the directions for your waffle-maker.
