Here is another great recipe that not only tastes good, but looks amazing! These tulip tomatoes will be so much fun to serve at a party or bring to any kind of gathering of your family and friends.
I know they look like they’d be complicated, but they honestly are NOT that difficult to make. The recipe only takes about a half hour and makes about 15 tulips. The full recipe is at the bottom of the post.
Tulip Tomatoes
Here’s everything you need to make these gorgeous tulip tomatoes.
The first step is to cut a cross in the top of each cherry tomato (about ¾ down the tomato).
Gently scrape out the tomato seeds using a spoon (a grapefruit spoon works very well).
Using a grilling skewer or toothpick, make a hole where the stem currently is. You may need to twist the skewer in a circle a few times to make room for the chive to fit through.
Next, finely chop or grate cucumber. Then mix cream cheese, cucumber and basil in a bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Add a teaspoon of cream cheese mixture into each tomato tulip (adjust depending on the size of tomatoes). Then, insert a chive into the hole at the bottom of each tomato as a “stem.”
Prepare your tulip bouquet on a large plate or platter. Use the extra chive stalk to wrap around the tulip stems to complete the bouquet.
Now your fancy tulip tomatoes are done! And, they are MUCH simpler to make than they look, aren’t they?
