GE15: Johor police to open 20 car lanes at CIQ for Malaysians returning from Singapore to vote
In anticipation of the influx of cars coming back from Singapore for the upcoming 15th General Election (GE), the Johor police will open some 20 car lanes at the Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine (CIQ) Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI).
State Works, Transportation, and Infrastructure committee Chairman Mohamad Fazli Mohamad Salleh told The Star that these lanes will be open to Malaysian-registered cars from noon on 18-November-2022 to noon the next day.

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has agreed to prepare the dedicated lanes and Mohamad Fazli encourages those returning home to use these lanes.
Currently, the CIQ has three zones that could be used by any registered cars. For the election, two of these zones, which has a total of 20 lanes, will be dedicated to Malaysian registered cars.
Mohamad Fazli hopes that dedicating more lanes would help ease the journey of those who are coming back to Malaysia to vote.
