The new Honda Civic has won the prestigious Car of the Year award from new-car-buying advice website Parkers.

Our sister website named the eleventh-generation Civic e:HEV as the best car on sale today, after it topped the Best Medium Family Car category. Parkers judges’ hailed the hybrid’s fuel-sipping ability in an age where soaring energy costs are making electric cars less attractive than they used to be.
