Sometimes this slime is referred to as shaving cream slime because you are using shaving cream to make it fluffy.

We loveall different types of slime, but I think you know that already! We believe that slime is the perfect kid’s craft to make that is also the perfect way to introduce science experiments to kids.

One of my kids all time favorite slimes to make is fluffy slime. Not only does it stretch and ooze like regular slime, but it is fluffy and pillowy like that it just so much fun to squish and squeeze in your hands. The slime craze has never ended in our house and making diy slime recipes is something that happens all the time in our house.

You can make this fluffy slime any color that you want to and add in any extras like glitter or confetti that you want to and fully customize this slime recipe to fit your personalty and loves.

Because we are making slime with young children we prefer to use saline solution as the activator instead of using borax powder or liquid starch although we do recommend that parents make slime with their children. When making slime for the first time we suggest following safety precautions like using plastic gloves to make sure your children do not have sensitive skin.

Fluffy slime is super fluffy and pillowy soft. You make fluffy slime just like you do regular slime but then add in shaving cream to make it fluffy. The more shaving cream you add the fluffier it will get. If you want perfect fluffy slime be sure to follow the instructions of this recipe perfectly. For our fluffy slime recipe we use contact solution instead of borax or liquid starch because we find it is easier and I do not like young children using the chemicals that are with borax and liquid starch.

The fluffiness of the slime will only last about a day even if it is stored properly. It will still be fluffier then your normal slime but not as fluffy as when you first make it after you have stored it.

When you are making slime you need to use slime activators, for our recipe we use saline solution (other recipes for slime call for using borax or liquid starch but we prefer to use saline solution for our slime recipes). If you add too much saline solution then your slime will got from being slime like to very rubbery and break apart easily.

How do you keep slime from sticking to your hand when making it?

Fluffy slime is sticky when it is being made so you can use gloves while you are making it or you can rub your hands with baby oil or lotion before making the slime to keep it from sticking to your hands.

How do you fix a stiff fluffy slime?

If your slime is dry and stiff that does not mean that it is ruined. Add the slime to a small bowl and then add a little bit of water to the bowl and squish the slime with the water to add the water to the ball of slime and incorporate the water into the slime to bring it back to being stretchy and fun.

I do not suggest using gel shaving cream, while it fluffs up when you are using it to shave, you need to use your hands to make it fluffy before putting it into the slime. How to Make the Best Fluffy Slime

In a large mixing bowl add the white glue and baking soda and mix well.

Once the glue and baking soda mixture is mixed well, add in the shaving cream.

Gently fold the shaving cream into the glue mixture.

Add in a few drops of food coloring if you are wanting to make it colored.

Next, add 1 teaspoon of saline solution at a time to the slime mixture, mixing until slime begins to activate, add more saline solution as needed until the slime forms.

Once the slime has formed fully it is time to have fun and play!
