Locals upset with Malaysian BMW driver's doughnut antics in Thailand, police report lodged

If you want to drift your car, enrol yourself in a sanctioned drift event. This Malaysian 4 Series owner learned things the hard way as he found himself needing to fork out THB 99,000 (more than RM 12,000) worth of damages to several Thai car owners after a moment’s drifting fun ended with several shattered windscreens.

From what we understand, the BMW owner was holidaying in Hat Yai, Thailand when he decided to perform several doughnuts in the parking lot of one of Hat Yai’s tourist destinations.
The parking lot ground was not covered with asphalt. Hence, when the BMW driver decided to perform some doughnuts, gravel started flying causing several windscreens of cars parked nearby to shatter.

The 4 Series driver along with the four car owners later approached the Thailand police to make an official police report. He agreed to pay the affected owners a total compensation of THB 99,000 for the damage done.
