A London Bridge-based Italian restaurant and pizzeria was crowned the ‘Best Italian Restaurant in London and the South East at the annual Prestige Awards. Family-run Giuseppe’s Ristorante & Pizzeria snagged the crown at the ceremony to take home the accolade.

The awards aimed to recognise small businesses across the country who have proven to be the very best in their industry. A panel of expert judges assessed a variety of different categories including service, quality of food, consistency of performance and many more.

Prestige’s panel highlighted the “friendly atmosphere” you feel at Giuseppe’s, as how they are “committed to offering customers more than just a restaurant”.

The judges also said that all customers are made to feel welcome and appreciated, adding “Giuseppe always makes an effort to introduce himself to his guests, with many becoming genuine friends over the years”. Giuseppe Rossi, who’s owned the traditional Italian eatery for 30 years, said: “I’m so delighted that we have been recognised for this award, it means so much, especially after the tough times we’ve had over the past couple of years.

“My team works really hard to provide our customers with fantastic food and service and I’m proud that we give our customers that little bit extra. We can’t wait to see you at the restaurant – A presto!”
