Mzansi reacts to R86 ‘anti-flake’ pie: ‘Should include a litre of petrol’

When it comes to eating a pie, the messier, the better – right? But according to one picture doing the rounds on social media, an advert for an “anti-flake” pastry is suggesting otherwise.

The only catch is the price – according to the ad, the pie costs a whopping R86!

‘ANTI-FLAKE’ PIE PIC GOES VIRAL

News of an “anti-flake” pie was originally shared by South African comedian Donovan Goliath on his Instagram account.

In it, was a picture of a pastry priced at a ludicrous R85,99.

The description read: “Enjoy a wide range of pies without the mess and fuss. Specifically formulated for car consumption”.

But followers were not convinced. A Google search quickly revealed that no such product exists, leading many to believe the ad is fake.

Nevertheless, social media users played along though, sharing their thoughts on the bold “invention”.

Thesouthafricanwanderer: “R86? For that price, I can get a R26 pie and pay someone R60 to vacuum the car after. And still, have change”

Vekershlin: “Definitely should include a litre of petrol”

Mthokozisig: “Is the meat inside covered in gold flakes?”

Capetown_radio: “What’s inside? A full chicken maybe?”
