Kids love snacks. Cute snacks always bring a smile to children’s faces, and often times to the faces of adults as well. If you’ve been a longtime reader here then you know I love cats. So today’s recipe, a Rice Cake Cat, is one that brings a smile to everyone’s face, even mine.

This rice cake snack requires no cooking and is simple to put together, making it for for children of all ages to make. The recipe is easily gluten-free, just be sure to check your labels.

Here’s how to make it.

Equipment Needed

  • butter knife
  • cutting board

Ingredients 

  • rice cake 
  • 2 blueberries 
  • peanut butter 
  • 2 strawberries 
  • 6 pretzel sticks

How To Make A Rice Cake Cat From Val’s Kitchen

Instructions

Lay out the rice cakes you’re using on a plate. You’ll need 1 rice cake for each cat you’re making.

Cover the rice cake with a layer of peanut butter.

Slice a strawberry in half .

Place the strawberry halves on the top of the rice cake as ears.

Add two blueberries to make the eyes.

Slice the tip of a strawberry and use it to make a nose.

Use 6 pretzel sticks, 3 on each side of the face, to create the cat’s whiskers.

Serve & enjoy!
