According to media reports, Tesla is expected to start production of its Cybertruck in Q1 of 2023.

Reports state that initial production numbers will be limited before increasing output. It also states that Tesla is changing multiple features and functions on the Cybertruck to make it more appealing, compared to electric pickups like the Rivian R1T and the Ford F150 Lightning.

A product roadmap for the Cybertruck is expected to be provided by Elon Musk, which will clearly offer the official timeframe for the electric truck’s production. Musk claimed that the Cybertruck would be the brand’s best product to date. He also mentioned that volume production will commence in 2023.

The Tesla Cybertruck was showcased a couple of years ago and was initially expected to be introduced in 2021. However, constant delays meant that the production of the electric truck had to be pushed back on multiple occasions.

The production of the Cybertruck could happen in Tesla’s Gigafactory in Texas, USA, pending approvals from local authorities later this year. The plant currently produces the Model Y.
