The Carlist.my People's Choice Awards COTY returns - Your vote decides the best cars of 2022
To celebrate yet another year of amazing cars, the Carlist.my People’s Choice Award Car Of The Year (PCA COTY) returns in its latest instalment in 2022 – honouring the best of the best, as voted by you, the Malaysian public.
This year has since the introduction of many new models, and the return of some well-known stalwarts such as the and in their latest generations.

One of the longest-running automotive awards in Malaysia, the Carlist.my PCA COTY nominations are derived based on model popularity as well as car buying data and categorised according to price.
Each category will be presented with the top two or more models for the public to vote on.
Category nominations range from entry-level models such as the humble (under RM 60k) to premium full-sized SUVs which are represented by cars such as the and .
An increasingly competitive segment has been Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) as ever more manufacturers brandish their take on the future of emissions-free mobility.
To reflect this, BEVs are represented by three categories this year and denominated by price, to keep things fair. All in all, there are 18 categories are presented in this year’s Carlist.my PCA COTY.
However, the Carlist.my PCA COTY isn’t just about honouring the best cars, it also rewards you, the voter.
