It’s official: Toyota is holding the global debut of the all-new Innova in November and this is your first official look.

The teaser shows the all-new 2023 Innova taking on design cues first found on popular Toyota SUV models. It wears a prominent and upright hexagonal grille and headlights with L-shaped inserts (probably for DRLs). The hood also looks to sport strong creases while the bumper itself has triangular or L-shaped housings for the fog lamps.

Toyota has just shown one teaser photo, but

do show horizontally-oriented taillights and 10-spoke alloy wheels. Dimensionally, it is expected to be around the same size as the current model.

The teaser photo also shows blue highlights which could indicate its worst kept secret: a hybrid powertrain. Previous reports suggest that Toyota will be axing the diesel engine for the all-new Innova, and instead, will get a 2.0-liter hybrid. Moreover, there are suggestions that it will move to a front-wheel drive platform, specifically the TNGA-C platform. This should enable the three-row MPV to offer more space than ever before.

The move to a brand-new platform is also expected to unlock a much longer equipment list including Toyota Safety Sense, a sunroof, wireless charging, and a 360-degree camera. At the very least, it will benefit from an updated infotainment system.
